Municipal Resolution Campaign
Municipal Light Plants have signed contracts for approximately 75% of the energy that would be generated from Palmer. This investment has led some legislators and state officials to believe that MLP communities support biomass as a renewable energy source. As the TUE committee considers Baker's changes to the RPS, we want to send a clear message that community members and leaders in MLP districts do not support the proposed changes to the RPS and do not want energy that pollutes environmental justice communities. Make your voice heard by circulating a Letter, or presenting a resolution to your Town/City Council, opposing changes to the RPS regulations.
Thus far, seven MLP communities are in the process of circulating letters, with more to follow! Contact Logan Malik at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
